Evenings by the Bay

6 p.m.-8 p.m.
This summer join us for an Evening by the Bay. The Aquarium will stay open until 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays from July 3 through September 5. In addition to all your favorite exhibits, enjoy live music from Monterey Jazz Festival musicians.
 
Otter Days

Otter Days

Sept. 25-26 (Sat.-Sun.)
Join us for a weekend of programs and activities as we celebrate all things otter. Enjoy the antics of our playful southern sea otters as they romp, tumble and wrestle in our 55,000-gallon exhibit. Includes feeding and training sessions, games and otter spotting on the bay.

Magellanic Magic

What's it like to feed the Aquarium's Magellanic penguins? Hand-feeding sessions take place four times per day in the Aquarium’s special exhibition, Hot Pink Flamingos: Stories of Hope in a Changing Sea.
 
Another Baby Otter on Board!

Another Baby Otter on Board!

For the second time ever, a rescued sea otter pup has gone on exhibit. The female otter, currently known as “502,” is 16 weeks old and weighs just over 17 pounds. She was found stranded on Morro Strand State Beach June 30, and visitors can see her playing and learning from her companion, 12-year-old Joy.

The Aquarium recently acquired 10 juvenile green sea turtles, five of which are now happily settled in our special exhibition, Hot Pink Flamingos: Stories of Hope in a Changing Sea. The turtles were part of a “clutch” of 82 born at SeaWorld San Diego in October 2009.
